Cold Feet Series 7 Finale Review

I’m starting to feel a little bit bereft. All of the dramas I've been watching lately are coming to an end; first Dr foster, then Liar and now cold feet.

This week's finale started off with us seeing Adam admitting to Tina about having slept with colleague and wife of the guy Tina had an affair with in series one, Sarah.


Now Sarah was starting to come across a little stalkerish yet Adam still seemed to be attracted to her which was slightly unnerving. Sarah quite her job to make things easier for Adam so he and Tina could move on from the whole thing. In the end though that didn't seem to be enough as Adam was conflicted by his feelings for both Tina and Sarah and he ended things with Tina. With Tina declaring that she wanted children when ultimately I think it was obvious that Adam wasn't really that keen on the idea. Question is if there is a series 8 will we see Tina again or will Adam have moved on with Sarah (hope not!) or someone else entirely.

Pete moved out of his marital home and moved in with Adam after falling out with Jenny at Adam's 50th birthday party. I do think Jenny's a little mean to Pete sometimes and does seem to take him for granted so I was glad to see her panic when Pete suggested they should divorce. However, after their son, Adam, got in to a fight and landed himself in hospital, Pete and Jenny managed to talk through their issues and by the end of the episode we saw them renewing their vows.

David got himself into a silly situation (nothing new there!) when he got a gun from an ex-prison mate which he thought would scare George enough to stop the threats to his children. It did somehow work when David nearly shot George but just missed and made a hole in the celling instead. After that, things started to look up for David when Nikki stood up to husband George and told him she wanted a divorce, clearing the way for her and David to be together without the worry of anymore threats.

Things also seemed to end well for Karen and her new fella. After finding out he had lied about having two small children, Karen was initially worried but once he explained the reason was that he was worried she might run a mile if she knew he was a single dad, Karen was happy to be introduced to the children. I'm slightly disappointed we didn't see more if this relationship develop but I expect if we get another series we may see more focus on Karen and her new love interest.

The show ended very much open with the possibility of another series so let's hope ITV do the right thing and give us all series 8.

Update: ITV have given the green light for series 8! Yay!

After watching 6Degrees and London Irish I’ve become a fan of Irish TV shows. Made all the better if they are set in my favourite decade, the 90’s. So I felt it a must that I watch Derry Girls, an Irish comedy set in the 90's. We meet the characters in 1994 in LondonDerry, Northern Ireland during The Troubles and see how life carries on in amongst all of that for one group of teenagers (Erin, Orla, Claire, Michelle and James). We see the gang getting on with normal life, from getting on the school bus and feeling as though you have the right to sit at the back purely because your older in age than the people currently sitting there, or having difficulty keeping your cool in front of a boy you really fancy, Derry Girls proved all teenagers deal with the same issues and dramas no matter what's going on around them. W1A Series 3 Finale Review

Sadly we have seen the final episode, possibly ever, of the great W1A. *Please be aware that this review contains spoilers. I still don't think I'm quite over Anna walking into that glass wall in episode 4 and her following concussion making her talk utter gibberish. Now that's slapstick comedy that's been done 10 times over and then some, but it came absolutely out of nowhere and made me howl with laughter for a good ten minutes. This is one of the main reasons I think I have completely fallen in love with this show (to my dismay I'm relatively new to the show and never watched Twenty Twelve which I genuinely hope to catch up on someday) is that the comedy seemingly comes out of nowhere and is somehow always a surprise - yes you expect the constant "sure, yes, great, love it, totally" comments but yet that still manages to be funny week on week.

Girlfriends Episode 3 Review

I didn't write a review for the first episode of Girlfriends as I thought it was a bit slow and lack-lustre and thought similarly the same about the second. So when it came to the third instalment I was very much hoping that they would have ramped things up a bit - and boy did they! It felt like it was on much longer than an hour as they had crammed so much in. As chaotic as it was at times it was certainly needed following on from the first two episodes. At the start of the episode we found all three women at the police station after Linda was arrested for Mickey's death. With evidence mounting up against her it wasn't looking good for Linda even though we knew of her innocence, the police were less inclined to believe it after her husband had taken out extra life insurance and Mickey's supposed mistress Carole, (who turns out wasn't his mistress at all) claimed she'd heard him call out Linda's name before he went overboard.
